Tumble-down,
Stone-smoothing
Waterfall
Shouts a song.
Mist risingTo kiss sun's rays,
Shaping a rainbow—
I remember a promise
And contemplateA faithful God
Whose anger flooded the world,
Whose ark saved mankind.
A cleansing takes place,A baptism of sorts,
My sins fleeing
With the water.
It is another promiseI now recall—
A hope for life
Beyond my death.
My joy risesLike mist to greet
With rainbow colors
The sun of God's love.
Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. Genesis 9:14-15 NIV
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 NIV
